Smutember Wrap Up

We made it. We finished Smutember!! And Boy oh Boy was it a hot September. We had some great drool worthy thirst traps but we also had  some major turn offs.   So just a fresh reminder : at the beginning of September I was on booktok and a group was doing smutember. I decided to join but since I’m not a TikToker I would just let you know my thoughts here and probably also on bookstagram. I decided to read 9 of the most popular smut books you see on booktok. In the beginning of September I did a post on the reads and their synopsis so please check it out if you want to know more about them other then just my thoughts.  They were  Savage lands by Stacey Marie Brown Flock by Kate Stewart Credence by Penelope Douglas Corrupt by Penelope Douglas Den of Vipers by K.A, Knight Desperate Measures by Katee Robert Zodiac Academy by Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti Pestilence by Laura Thalassa A Touch of Darkness by Scarlett St. Clair There were two that I didn’t get to and I’m gonna switch

Eight Books We are Looking Forward To In October

We have found eight books that we are sure to be buying and either reading or stacking our shelves with for future reads that are being released in October... A SHADOW IN THE EMBER BY JENNIFER L ARMENTROUT Rejoice Jennifer L Armentrout fans, her new book hits the shelves October 19th via Blue Box Press. Part one of her new series Flesh and Fire and is the prequel to Blood and Ash, it is a New Adult Fantasy. SUMMARY: Born shrouded in the veil of the Primals, a Maiden as the Fates promised, Seraphena Mierel’s future has never been hers. Chosen before birth to uphold the desperate deal her ancestor struck to save his people, Sera must leave behind her life and offer herself to the Primal of Death as his Consort.    However, Sera’s real destiny is the most closely guarded secret in all of Lasania—she’s not the well-protected Maiden but an assassin with one mission—one target. Make the Primal of Death fall in love, become his weakness, and then…end him. If she fails, she dooms her kingdom

Can't-Wait Wednesday is hosted by Tressa at  Wishful Endings  and gives us a chance to highlight books we are patiently waiting to fill up our TBRs with. Paperback ,  352 pages Expected publication: March 29th, 2022 by Berkley Books FOUR AUNTIES AND A WEDDING BY JESSE Q SUTANTO I absolutely loved  Dial A For Auntie  by  Jesse Q Sutanto . A cozy mystery/rom-com, I laughed throughout the entire book, so I was really excited to see that Sutanto has written part 2 of the story. I do have trouble a lot of times with the Sophomore books to a series, so many of them fall flat, so I am trying not to hype it up too much! SUMMARY- Meddy Chan has been to countless weddings, but she never imagined how her own would turn out. Now the day has arrived, and she can't wait to marry her college sweetheart, Nathan. Instead of having Ma and the aunts cater to her wedding, Meddy wants them to enjoy the day as guests. As a compromise, they find the perfect wedding vendors: a Chinese-Indonesian famil

It's Monday What Are You Reading?

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a place to meet up and share what you have been, and are about to be reading over the week. It’s a great post to organize yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment and er… add to your groaning TBR pile! This meme by  Kathryn at   The Book Date _____________________ I have come to terms with the fact that now until January I will not be reading as much as I thought I would LOL. We have one more holiday this month- Simchat Torah, and then I am also getting ready for an open house craft show at a friends workshop. I'm trudging along but at a slower pace... WHAT I AM READING... THE SEVEN VISITATIONS OF SYDNEY BURGESS BY ANDY MARINO This book releases tomorrow- it's a horror or suspense, I am not sure. There are times when I am reading that I am soooo confused, the author changes narratives and you are not sure if you are reading now or a bit is making reading very slow, and I am not even sure if I want to finish it, other than
